Warranty Policy - Pirelli

PIRELLI ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT AND REPLACEMENT TYRE LIMITED WARRANTY

What Is Warranted And Who Is Eligible Under The Warranty?

Pirelli Tyre S.P.A. (hereinafter Pirelli) warrants to the original purchaser (owner) of any vehicle on which Pirelli brand passenger car, truck or light truck tyres are provided as ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT or as REPLACEMENT, that the tyres will be free from anomalies in workmanship and materials.

What Is The Adjustment Policy And For How Long?

All Pirelli brand tires are covered by a warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for 48 months (4 years) from the date of manufacture OR for the life of the original usable tread, whichever occurs first.

A tyre is considered to have delivered it’s original usable tread and it’s warranty ends when at least one Tread Wear Indicator (T.W.I.) becomes visible, regardless of age or mileage. The TWI’s indicate the legal minimum tread depth of 1.6mm for passenger car, truck and light truck tyres.

Tyres with an alleged anomaly must be presented to an authorized Pirelli Dealer and a Pirelli claim form must be completed in all it’s parts and signed by the owner of the tyre.

If a Pirelli brand tyre becomes unserviceable due to workmanship or material anomalies, the owner must pay the cost for a new Pirelli tyre on a pro-rata basis. The authorized Pirelli Dealer will determine the cost by multiplying the percentage of the original usable tread worn by the current dealer selling price. The owner must pay for any associated service charges, including mounting and balancing of the tyre.

Any alleged anomalies shall always be assessed by a Pirelli technician or by technicians designated by Pirelli.

Tyres presented to an authorized Pirelli Dealer for compensation remain the property of the consumer and Pirelli accept no responsibility for loss of or damage to tyres which are in the custody or control of an authorized Pirelli Dealer for the purposes of inspection. Tyres accepted under the conditions of this warranty by a Pirelli technician or Pirelli authorized technician for compensation become the property of Pirelli.

In the event of a dispute, the consumer must make the tyre available for further inspection.

What Is Not Covered By The Warranty?

This is the only express warranty given by Pirelli, applicable to Pirelli Original Equipment and or Replacement passenger car, truck or light truck tyres. Pirelli does not make any other express warranty or any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Pirelli does not authorize any other person, including authorized Pirelli Dealers or Car Manufacturers or Car Dealers to change this warranty or create any other obligation in connection with Pirelli brand tyres.

Pirelli will not do anything other than what is stated in this warranty if an anomaly is found to exist in a Pirelli Original Equipment and or Replacement passenger car, truck or light truck tyre. All other remedies are excluded, including any obligation or liability on the part of Pirelli for consequential or incidental damages (such as loss of use of a vehicle, loss of time or inconvenience) arising out of an anomaly, as far as the law permits.
